Hypnosis is a normal natural altered state that we go into every day. If you have ever lost track of time/location while you were driving or watching TV, you were in hypnosis. While in hypnosis you are more suggestible than normal, allowing a skilled hypnotherapist to assist you to make lasting changes by altering your brains programming on the areas you wish to improve. Hypnosis can help by communicating with the subconscious mind which is how we associate our beliefs, responses, behaviors, etc.

Hypnosis is a very relaxed state, which allows you to go into a daze or trance. You won’t be asleep but you aren’t wide awake either. Clients usually wake feeling refreshed, like having had a nap.

The response to hypnosis depends on the person. Some notice gradual changes and some notice changes immediately. If you’re wondering how many sessions you’ll need, it depends on the person and their complaint.
You may be able to stop smoking with just one session but other longer term difficulties may take several sessions to ameliorate.
However, results are generally accomplished much faster than
through traditional therapy.

Your first appointment is generally scheduled for 90 minutes and subsequent appointments are approx 45 minutes.

  • First, we discuss what you want to improve and determine the origin and how it will help you to change your life script in your subconscious mind (SM) that drives your conscious mind
    (CM).
  • Then, with your willing consent, we induce a hypnotic state to allow me to work directly with your SM by placing your conscious mind on pause and allows me to introduce healing suggestions to your SC mind.
  • We finish by bringing you back to your full conscious state and reiterate the agreement.
  • After the session, you carry on back to your normal life while your mind continues processing the new information and incorporating it into your thought processes. You may feel relaxed, calm and comforted.

Each person may experience hypnosis differently. Each person and each session can be different as we are all different personalities. Additionally, the mood we arrive in will be different. We do not all have to have the same experience for hypnosis to work. Generally, people either feel heavy and deep in the chair or they feel light and floaty. Either way is just fine and both work with great outcomes.

No, actually I will request that you not speak during the actual hypnosis. I prefer that you have no concerns over accidentally saying anything. owever, your privacy is protected by our ethical standards.

Yes, unless you admit to have desires or plans to hurt yourself or someone/something else. That is reportable information to protect all involved.

No, you are not asleep. We do not want you to be asleep. We do want you in the dreamy state just prior to sleep. We want you to experience that deep relaxation feeling of a daze or trance. That provides the best brain waves to accept the suggestions we have agreed upon. We do use the word “sleep” or “deep sleep” just to indicate the experience we want for you but actual sleep pattern is not the goal. Should it seem you may have went too deep and may
have fallen asleep, we will lighten your state by waking you gently.

Again, each person is different. Some clients are in a lighter state while others are in a deep state. The different states do not relate to the hypnosis suggestions working, they work either way! However, the lighter states tend to remember more of the details of what was said while the deeper states have less recall. Again, they both work well.
